Rev. Monsignor Joseph Pemberton, pastor of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish in Arlington, has lived and served in the Diocese of Fort Worth his entire life. Born at St. Joseph Hospital in 1948, he attended All Saints Catholic School, St. George Catholic School and Nolan Catholic High School. Graduating from Nolan in 1967, he continued his Catholic education at St. Edward University in Austin, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English with a teaching certification in 1971. Following college, he worked in Houston for one year, teaching junior high English and world history.
Discerning a call to the priesthood, Monsignor Pemberton entered Holy Trinity Seminary in Irving in the fall of 1972. After five years of study, he was ordained to the priesthood on April 29, 1977 at his home parish of St. Rita in Fort Worth.
